The School’s academic staff and postgraduate students gathered together at the picturesque Bella Rakha resort over 2 days at the end of January. Prior to the gathering, each participant had prepared a brief description of their research project, where a very tight word limit was enforced, as an exercise in concise writing. All the writing pieces were reviewed by retreat participants during an informal session, and each received constructive feedback for improvement. We anticipate holding a retreat for our Clinical and Professional staff later in the year.
“This secluded environment provided the ideal opportunity for everybody to focus on their current and future writing projects. It also proved to be a great opportunity for staff to brainstorm, and get updated on each other research projects.” – Dr Ehsan Vaghefi
