We are excited to announce the opening of our new Dry Eye Clinic in the School of Optometry and Vision Science on 13 March led by Dr Marcy Tong. This sub-specialty clinic will feature the latest innovation to diagnose and manage cases of dry eye both from our clinic and via referrals from the community. We are able to offer a full range of premium treatment options including IPL, Lipiflow, Blelphasteam and BlephEx. The Diagnostic Methodology will be a step-wise approach based on the latest TFOS DEWS II research and publications.
In conjunction with the opening of our new clinic, we are proud to present a lecture by Dr. Art Epstein at 6pm on 11 March entitled “Making the Complex Simple: A comprehensive approach to Dry Eye mastery”. This lecture presents a simple holistic approach to diagnosing and managing dry eye, developed over years of practice into dry eye and ocular surface diseases in one of the driest places on earth – Phoenix, Arizona. Clinically focused, this lecture will provide the foundation and specific direction for developing a successful dry eye practice. Places are limited; RSVP to Nadine Schneemann (n.schneemann@auckland.ac.nz) by Tuesday 5 March for catering purposes.
