The Check Up is a programme which was recently broadcast on TV One on Monday evenings that reported on “new health treatments and medical advances, with an eye on debunking common health misconceptions”.
Two staff members of the School of Optometry and Vision Science appeared on the programme. John Phillips discussed myopia and myopia management in Episode 2, and Andrew Collins was interviewed about sunglasses in Episode 6 – why we need them in New Zealand, and how to tell if they are doing a good job of protecting your eyes from UV light.
