Zaria Bradley, an optometrist and clinic supervisor within the school, has been awarded a Snowvision 2019 SUNY scholarship. These scholarships entitle recipients to four weeks of clinical study in New York and are highly sought-after.
Zaria, who has not travelled to New York before, is grateful and honoured to be offered this chance to gain international experience to enhance and develop further her specialty areas of paediatrics and dry eye. Learnings will be passed onto the students resulting in improved care for patients. Zaria is particularly interested in observing SUNY’s head trauma rehabilitation clinic, a specialist area she believes is needed but not yet prevalent in New Zealand.
