In January and February 2020, Part IV student Sachi Rathod carried out a research project through a SOVS-supported Summer Studentship, supervised by Dr John Phillips.
Sachi’s research uses electrophysiology to locate where atropine, a drug which plays an important role in controlling myopia, works in the eye. The project is similar to the summer research she conducted last year with Drs John Phillips and Safal Khanal, which she was privileged to present at the 17th International Myopia Conference at the Tokyo Medical and Dental University.
Sachi is excited to be able to continue research in her field of interest, and keen on pursuing further study after she graduates this year.
