Professor Steven Dakin’s new and improved lab site https://www.clinicalvision.org/ was recently launched.
The lab team includes Dr Catherine Morgan, recent PhD graduate Dr Soheil Doustkouhi, and current PhD candidates Selassie Tagoh, Aryaman Taore, and Tony Han.
The team’s focus is on translating understanding of the visual brain into improved vision tests and treatments. Tests use eye movements, improved acuity charts, and amblyopia treatments.
Along with news and publication details, the site features resources and demonstrations such as a free-to-use machine-learning system to support voice recognition in vision-testing apps. The site is open to members of the public who may be interested in the work taking place. Visitors are warmly invited to browse the site, contribute to training the speech recognition tool, take a free online acuity test and more.
