The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences hosted the 17th annual HealtheX conference on 8 September 2023. This is a student-led conference which showcases oral presentations, poster presentations, and a 3-minute elevator pitch competition followed by prize giving and a networking event.
Congratulations to PhD student Paul (Gbohunmi) Idowu, who won the Poster Presentation First Runner Up Award for his presentation on Dopaminergic retinal neurons in a Dopamine Transporter Knockout (DAT-KO) model. Paul began his PhD in Biomedical Sciences six months ago with Peter Freestone and Monica Acosta.
