Wilson Pan was awarded a grant from The Sir John Logan Campbell Medical Trust. This medical fellowship was established in 2016 to help outstanding early to mid-career researchers further their health and medical studies overseas.
In November Wilson attended the Siemens “IDEAL” course at their Heathineers Healthcare Training & Development Centre in Cary, North Carolina. The IDEAL course is designed for physicists or engineers to program and modify protocols for the Siemens MRI system. Wilson’s research focus is on the application of MRI to investigate the physiological optics of the crystalline lens so this experience will be very valuable to his research. Wilson also visited labs at Stony Brook University in New York.
