Microsoft Research Asia, one of the leading computer science research labs in the world, awards the Microsoft Asia Cloud Research Software Fellow (CRSF) Award annually. This year it goes to a SOVS staff member, Dr Ehsan Vaghefi.
This is part of the Microsoft Research Asia Fellowship Program, which identifies the next generation of research leaders and offers a combination of mentorship, research, networking, and academic opportunities to promising young candidates. Fellows earn a scholarship and enjoy a long-term professional relationship with Microsoft Research Asia.
An internship at Microsoft Research Asia in Beijing, China is offered as part of the award. Ehsan plans to take up this internship and will travel to Hong Kong later in the year to receive the award.
